8 things to stay away from during your pregnancy and good th

Play it safe by keeping these Pregnancy "don'ts" in mind
1. Avoid getting a manicure or pedicure unless you bring your own tools to reduce risk of infection.
2. Don't use a hot tub, steam room or sauna while pregnant - the intense heat may be harmful to your baby's development. If you take a bath, just make sure the temperature is below 100 degrees.
3. Avoid changing your kitty's litter box - cat feces can host parasites that may be dangerous to a fetus.
4. Don't take medicines - even over-the-counter pain medications like ibuprofen - without talking to your doctor first.
5. Avoid sports and activities like skiing or ice skating where falling is a likely possibility.
6. Most women know not to drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes while pregnant, but you should also try to avoid second-hand smoke as much as possible.
7. Don't eat raw or rare fish or shellfish, including sushi, and stay away from raw or rare red meat, too.
8. Avoid painting or finishing furniture while you're pregnant, because the chemicals and fumes could be harmful.
